When I first got my camera, I always tried to find out when the nearest carnival would be near my town. This “Festival Lima Gunung” of The Five Mountain Festival is the one that impresses me the most. It’s held annually, and I was lucky my friend informed me to come with him to take some pictures. When this photo was taken in 2017, it was held in Pakis, a village on the hillside of Mount Merbabu, Magelang, Central Java. Sixty-two cultural and arts groups from the nearby area participated in this festival.
It’s a fantastic atmosphere with so many crowds and colors pleasing to the eye. I hope one day I can repeat this enjoyable experience.
